I wanted to see what's like outside. I mean Paris in autumn before winter sets in. We live just along Boulevard Invalides, a few meters away from one the famous sites in Paris: The Tomb of Napoleon. Just right in front of the place, across Rue Grenelle both the left and right sides, are spacious gardens where the French usually lounge around to take some sun when the weather is at its best. The trees, with bright yellow leaves and dark brown trunks seemed perfect contrasts. The soft breeze made the ambiance felt heavenly. There weren't a lot of tourists hanging out so I had the pleasure of strolling around minus the noise and can-you-please-take-my/our-picture requests.
As I sat by the bench, funny how a flock of pigeons came hovering around me. Yes, they were hoping I brought something for them but unfotunately, I was new to this place so I didn't know that there's this mutual agreement. Sorry birdies, but at least they were kind enough to pose for a picture. Next time I'll bring some bread crumbs, promise!
